Hii King Chiong : Explore Culinary, Look Forward To Life With “Colours, Fragrances And Flavours”
10.03.2015--Dato Hii King Chiong said that it takes vigorous culinary training to be a successful and popular chef. To be a top chef, one needs substantial knowledge, culinary skills, enthusiasm and good attitude.
Hii was invited as the guest-of-honour and main sponsor to Miri Chef Association’s Chinese New Year gathering celebration cum 4th education incentive awards ceremony to members’ children. He was unable to attend and was represented by Mr Hii Teck Yun to deliver his speech.
He said that under the leadership of president Mr. Yong Wan Khiong and committee members, Miri Chef Association has made a good name and established a high reputation in the culinary industry.
He emphasised that with members’ experience and concerted efforts, the association is running smoothly and assisting peers towards a bright future.
A restaurant’s reputation and business success depend on the fellow chefs in the kitchen. “Your care, professional service and passionate spirit will determine your status and prospects in the catering industry.”
Hii was very pleased that the association placed great emphasis on education by awarding education incentives to members’ children during new year celebration.
He hoped students will work hard for better results next year and not disappoint their parents and teachers.
