Hii King Chiong : Coexistence Of Different Religions, World Moving Towards Similarity

01.103.2015--Guest-of-honour Dato Hi King Chiong said that De Jiao Hui (Che Sing Khor Moral Uplifting Society) integrates five major religions and beliefs, namely Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. He believed that this is the spirit of humankind moving towards similarity through practical actions, self-cultivation, acceptance of people of other religions, mutual respect and efforts towards common prosperity.

He believed that if everyone follows the five teachings in self-cultivation, humanity will enjoy the spiritual realm of pure love, pure truthfulness, pure beauty and pure kindness and move towards world peace.

He went on to say that unfortunately there are some people who abuse religions and beliefs, creating contradictions and conflicts.

He said that De Jiao Hui is amazing in seeking high realm of human faith.

Hii was unable to attend the Chinese New Year gathering cum respecting elders celebration dinner organised by De Jiao Hui at Dynasty Hotel Miri and was represented by Mr. Kong San Hoe to deliver his speech.

He commended the committee of De Jiao Hui for their commitment to Chinese culture and traditions, in encouraging solidarity and respecting the elders during new year celebrations.

He said that over the years, De Jiao Hui taught meaningful knowledge on morality and made huge contribution to national unity and spiritual education.

He hoped that the followers will continue to uphold moderation, tolerance, forgiveness, nature, compassion and reverence to promote the society’s five values. Firstly, Confucian upholds ‘Heaven’ and promotes peace and moderation. Secondly, Taoist upholds ‘The Way’ of heaven & earth, the natural way. Thirdly, Buddhist upholds ‘One Pure Heart-Mind’ seeds of knowledge, compassionate heart and Elysium. Fourthly, Christian upholds ‘God’ for path to heaven and eternal life. Fifthly, Muslim upholds ‘Allah’, to live in awe of Allah.
