Visiting To Methodist Children Home
07.02.13--The Board od Management, volunteers and occupants of the Methodist Children Home (MCH) were delighted when their home was visited by a generous local businessman, Mr En. King Chiong Hii this morning.
Mr Hii main visit to the centre was to present a donation and giving away Ang Pau to the children of MCH. He was accompanied by his only son, Mr Hii Wei Wen.
In his short keynote address, Mr Hii said, “The children of this home is also part of my life. Though my contribution is small but I‘m part of them. I assisted MCH management board in few things and now I‘m very thankful because the government give us the land. The children's welfare and their interest must well be looked into. We must always support them especially in terms of moral support. Their part the nation‘s future asset”.
Earlier, MCH chairman, Mr Andrew Kuek in his welcoming notes, thanks to Mr Hii on his positive involvement towards the progress of the centre. According to him with Mr Hii assistance they managed to get their land application approved without any delay.
“On behalf of MCH management board, Mr Hii involvement to the centre is highly appreciated. He has been helping us in getting this land approve and we are lucky because now we have our own land and a our own building. Beside that, his other contribution to this home cannot be mention or listed one by one, we only can say we are lucky to have a man like Mr Hii King Chiong”, expressed Mr Kuek.
The visit to MCH which was located at Jalan Jee Foh 8, Krokop was part of Mr Hii's community service program and also in conjuction of the Chinese New Year celebration.
Mr Hii who was also accompanied by Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Cr Suzanne Lee Tze Ha, Miri City Council Mayor were given a warm welcome by MCH chairman & members of MCH Management Board, Divisional Superintendent of Miri MCH, Sister Esther Law and the young occupants.
Also included in his entourage were Cr Lawrence Kong, Cr Hjh Lela Mohamad, Cr Hjh Khadijah Hj Muip, PBB Senadin Women Chief, Pn Nilawati Simat and PBB Pujut Youth Chief, Mr Ismail Hj Lai.

For The Benefit Of MCH Children...Forescom Sarawak Sdn Bhd Executive Director and its Group of Companies, Mr Hii Wei Wen who is also the only son of Mr Hii presented a small contribution to Sister Estate Law.

At the moment they were 24 children which comprised of multi races lived at the centre. The children from the age of four years old and 17 years old lived at the centre due to unslove family problems.
