Hii King Chiong Distributes Bubuk Lambuk To Muslims
20.06.2015---United People’s Party (UPP) Piasau chairman and Majulah Miri founder Dato Hii King Chiong today distributed 150 packs of Bubur Lambuk to the public at a surau in Desa Senadin.
Green envelopes were also given to 25 orphans and 27 single mothers from Senadin, Pujut and Piasau areas as early blessings and good wishes for the holy month of Ramadan.
Hii was accompanied by wife Datin Ting Hua Eng, political secretary to the chief minister Suzanne Lee Tze Ha, UPP Pujut chairman councillor Bruce Chai and many others to distribute Bubur Lambuk where the people queued up to receive the food.
The purpose of organising such activity was to celebrate the Malay festive season. Bubur Lambuk were distributed to Muslim friends for them to eat to break their fast.
On the other hand, the surau extension project as promised by Hii earlier last month has now been completed. Muslims living in the vicinity of the area can now enjoy a larger and more comfortable prayer hall for the purpose of daily prayers and other activities.
