Renowned Chinese Company Visits Sarawak For Investment Opportunities
30.08.2017--Chongqing International Investment Consultation Group Co Ltd from China and local company Solid Sunland Sdn Bhd had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the opportunities in development projects in Sarawak.
The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by Chief Minister of Sarawak Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg and the Consul-General of the Republic of China Fu Jijun.
The delegation from Chongqing International Investment Consultation Group Co Ltd, led by its vice-president Zhou Qingrong, recently visited Sarawak to conduct surveys. Besides attending the MoU signing ceremony, the delegation also visited Kuching, Sibu, Betong and Miri and was guided by Solid Sunland Sdn Bhd managing director Dato Hii King Chiong.
The tour was organised to facilitate better understanding by the investors of local developments in Sarawak in order to devise further investment plans and cooperation opportunities. It included visits to deep seaports, oil palm plantations, universities, etc.
The main purpose of their trip was to promote mutual understanding and seek investment opportunities in Sarawak. The Chinese company would aim to provide comprehensive services and participate in development projects in Sarawak.
Apart from Kuching, the Chinese company will also explore potential development cooperation in major cities including Miri and Sibu and carry out development projects via public private partnership (PPP).
