Hii King Chiong Thanks Caring Deputy Prime Minister, Urges Units To Use Allocations Wisely

30.04.2016--Direct Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Pujut Dato Hii King Chiong thanked Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for listening and fulfilling wishes of the people with allocations for two schools and Miri Saberkas Night Market and Hawkers Association. He urged the units receiving the allocations to use them wisely and contribute towards education and development in Miri.

Hii today told reporters that the basic principle in serving the people was to stay close with the people, share their worries and solve their troubles. He said one should reach out to the grassroots to thoroughly understand the inner thoughts and feelings of the people.

He said the allocations announced by Ahmad Zahid would not only ease the financial burden of the units receiving the funds but had also proved the commitment of BN leaders in putting people first. “As long as we are united and promote racial harmony as the ultimate goal, the future development of the country will be enormous.”

Hii admitted that he was also not perfect and there were things that he could not do. However, he emphasised that he would always do his best to serve the people.

He said home visits after nomination day revealed that there were still many unresolved problems accumulated over decades especially in Pujut and Krokop. The residents felt helpless and he deeply understood that. He therefore hoped the people would give him a chance to serve and march forward with the people in the upcoming 11th Sarawak state election, to fight for more rights and interests of Mirians and improve the quality of life and environment.

Hii emphasised that unity, cooperation and selflessness would definitely create a more stable and better future.
