Hii King Chiong : Fully Support Chief Minister Team & Don’t Repeat Drama Of Sabotaging

04.05.2018--Penganut Dewa Some Shak Lung Kung Association Miri life honorary advisor Dato Hii King Chiong hoped that there would not be a repeat of sabotaging shows in the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14). He appealed to everyone to unite and fully support Barisan Nasional (BN) Sarawak team led by Sarawak Chief Minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for election victory which would urge the federal government to give serious attention to Sarawak and return autonomy to the state.

Hii was speaking tonight at the installation ceremony of the new committee cum “Greatness of Workers, Nobleness of Labour” event organised by Penganut Dewa Some Shak Lung Kung Association Miri. He said that since the appointment of Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari, the chief minister has made the future of Sarawak his main priority. “Besides caring for education, he has also implemented a number of economic transformation plans including attracting foreign investment and upgrading infrastructure. Our Chief Minister has the best interests of Sarawak and its people at heart. As Sarawakians, we must give full support to ensure that his team achieves a significant victory in the general election and continues to serve the people.”

He emphasised that visible enemies are not scary while invisible enemies are the most frightening. As the saying goes, “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know”. It is most distressing and disappointing to believe that one can win with huge support but eventually suffers loss in the hands of his or her own people.

Hii explained metaphorically that the human heart is like a well with unfathomable depth and some people would unscrupulously do anything to achieve their aims. He said that he had this profound experience in the last state election and pointed out that no matter how much and how good you do, there will always be people harming you for personal gain.

To prevent a recurrence of sabotage, Hii urged everyone to unite andwholeheartedly support BN candidates.

He said that Datuk Sebastian Ting was meticulously chosen by the chief minister as the best BN candidate and representative for Miri parliamentary seat. He added that Ting’s victory would be Chief Minister’s victory and also Miri’s renewed hope. “This time we will not just win, we want to win by a landslide victory to show our absolute support to our Chief Minister’s excellent performance.”

Hii pledged to provide full assistance to help BN regain lost ground in this general election and give full support to BN candidates for the wellbeing of Sarawakians.
